Derbyshire County Council have now advised that the road will be closed to carry out the work at Abney Clough from Monday the 9th of April 2018 running for three weeks until Sunday the 29th of April 2018 instead of the previously advised March dates.

Derwent Valley Orienteers have advised that The East Midlands Orienteering Championships are being run on Bretton Clough and Eyam Moor on the morning of Sunday 28th January 2018. They have permission from Natural England and all the landowners involved. The event will be based at the Gliding Club.

Silence Heritage Site – Sink Hole

Please be aware that a sink hole has appeared just above the flower information sign near the wooden bridge. The hole is in the middle of the main path and at the point of the collapse the entire width of the path has gone. There has since been further slippage of overhanging turf and loose soil and the site will be closely monitored.
