Employment | I retired from teaching History at Buxton Community School in 2015 after a 30 year career. I then applied to become a foster carer with Derbyshire County Council and after completing the training my husband William and I were approved as emergency and respite foster carers and so far we have welcomed 11 children into our home ranging from 5 weeks old to 17 years old. |
Leisure Activities | I enjoy walking our dogs in the beautiful surrounding countryside and also swim regularly. I love cooking for friends and family, but love nothing better than eating out. |
Other information | We moved to Grindlow in 2001 from Great Longstone where we had lived since 1986. My daughters both had horses and although the girls have now left home we still have two Shetland ponies which our 10 month old granddaughter loves riding, so the tradition is continuing! I was co-opted onto the Parish Council in July 2015. |
